This project with length of 138Km was addressed to promote Gilan Province road-based connections with the state road network. Additionally, due to thecloseness of Rasht to Anzali important port,the north- south transit transport will be facilitated. Decrease in costs and also time of shipment in comparison with the pre-implementation of the project are considered as the special advantages of this project. After completion of this project, the countries associated to this path will be able to expedite the transport of their goods within the trade between Asia and Europe, enjoying the transshipment facilities. Due to the establishment of new countries in the Central Asia and new global markets in the region of Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf, implementation of this project is important for both continents of Asia and Europe. Also such road-based connection results in economical development and increase of employment in Gilan and Ghazvin provinces and promotes the trade, tourism, industry and agriculture in the region.
