Tehran Shomal has a length of 121km and is targeted to establish a rapid and safe connection between the central area of Iran, and especially Tehran, with the south Caspian coast and the recently-established countries beyond the Iranian coasts of this sea. After construction of this freeway, a larg amount of commodity could be imported/ exported through Noshahr Port and also due to the existence of recently-established countries along with the Caspian coast and in the Central Asia, the cultural and economical exchanges between Iran and those regions will be developed.

Also, construction of Tehran- Shomal freeway effects on tourism attraction in the region and decrease the depreciation and fuel consumption.

- Tunnels: totally 44km, twin (88km)
- Big Bridges: totally 13km

Control the path studies in regions 1, 2, 3 and study an supervision on the project implementation in region 4 for a total length of 20.6km and in 5 sections.
